epeleg
Hi, This document: http://www.plasticscm.com/releases/3.0.1/manuals/en/extensionsguide.pdf says that "This extension is compatible with Bugzilla versions 2005, 2006 and 2007." The bugzilla I use says on its home page that its version is 4.0.2. The plastic.cgi file that comes packed with plastic scm 4.0 (in plasticscm4/client/extensions/bugzilla) does not say by itself what bugzilla versions it supports. Is there a way to integrate plastic scm 4.0 with version 4.0.2 of bugzilla ? Should I just follow the instructions in the pdf ? If not then where can I find updated instructions on how to do this ? Thanks, Eyal
manu
Hi epeleg, for sure we are compatible with Bugzilla 4.0. We haven't test it yet with Bugzilla 4.0.2 but since it's a minor release I bet it will run. Follow the guide and tell us the result! Manu. epeleg
Well, It took me some time to get to this, but I finally tried, and the test connection request fails. I had to install all the following packages until It ran properly: apt-get install libxml-simple-perl apt-get install libdatetime-perl apt-get install libemail-address-perl apt-get install libtemplate-perl apt-get install libemail-mime-perl apt-get install libemail-send-perl finally I thing I have it running properly. Is it supposed to do anything other then: 1) showing a "Bugzilla Extension" pane with info on selected branch 2) allowing to open said branch ? is there a way to copy the bugzilla comment to the plastic comment ? epeleg
ohh... now I also see the bug description from bugzilla above the branch itself, COOL. Is there anything else I am missing ?
manu
Thanks for sharing all the dependencies needed to install bugzilla! I'm sure more users will find it very useful. Regarding to the Bugzilla extension capabilities, you can work with the task per branch methodology that will allow you to see the Bugzilla task name in the branch explorer and see detailed info about the task inside the Branch Explorer right panel (options button), you can even open the Bugzilla task from it. You can also work with the task per changeset working mode, this methodology allows you to associate changesets to Bugzilla tasks. You will be able to review the bugzilla task info by clicking on a changeset in the changesets view.

epeleg
hmmm.. I just updated to bugzilla 4.2.5 and now the integration stopped working again was plastic.cgi ever updated ?
epeleg
I ended up copying /var/www/bugzilla/lib/Math/Random/ to /usr/lib/perl/5.10/Math/Random/ and it resolved the issue. I think its more a bugzilla issue then a plastic issue any way.

epeleg
Hi Manu, Time flies by and I have updated both to plastic 5.4.16.707 and also to the latest bugzilla (5.0.1) but I am again having issues with the integration script. is there a place where I can download the latest script you have? also did the UI change in such a way that if I activate Bug Tracking Integration I can not open a new branch without having a related bug for it in the tracking system? (the branch name textbox is disabled). epeleg
