wvd_vegt
Hi It has probably been asked before, but how do you delete an item from sourcecontrol (so not delete it from disk, just make it private & thus uncontrolled again). I tried deleting the item in the client and check not to delete it from disk, but with the next check-in, plasticscm starts complaining about dependencies that have to be checked in too (and after that the deleted file is back). Currently the only (clumsy) method i foud to work was to make a copy of the file, delete it from disk in the client, checkin and copy the file back to it's original place. Surely there must be an easier way!
manu
Ok let's try the following: Remove the item from Plastic but not from the disk. Open the pending changes view. Make sure you DON'T have the "Show private items" option enabled. (inside the pending changed view options) Run the checkin, it should work. wvd_vegt
Hi, Indeed wrong post. Your suggestion to turn of 'Show private files' did the trick for making files private again. So thanks!
