Burn
Hello everyone, I just discovered about Plastic SCM while searching for a versioning solution to adopt while developing a game with Unity3D. I am very excited about it but since I will have to centralize the repository on a remote server I was wondering what kind of dedicated hardware it requires for smooth operation. What kind of processor? How much memory? Disk space? It's gonna be 2 devs, 1 repo, so I'm starting off with the community edition. Any insight/experience from the community is appreciated! Cheers, Burn
manu
Hi Burn! for two developers a tiny Linux box will work. The only thing you need to change is the DB backend, install a MySQL instead of using the default SqlLite or SQLServer CE. A machine with 2-3 GB will be enough and the disk space depends on how big your project is going to be, I recommend to start with 15-20 GB.
