Rename Branch - Remove Trailing Space

Good Day!

 

We have a branch which has a trailing space at the end of the name. I want to rename the branch and remove that space. When I try to do so, I get the message telling me that the branch already exists. How can I remove that trailing space?

 

Also, this branch has a few children. If I can remove that trailing space, I am assuming this will not hurt the children! :-)

Did you try to completely rename it?

 

e.g.  have branch called "some branch name "

instead of just trying to trim to "some branch name" (no space) do a rename and call it branch "bad"

then rename "bad" back to "some branch name"

I thinks this is a backend related issue, it works just fine for me using sqlite. Which backend are you using?

 

You can try @SilverKnight workaround I think it will work fine.
