OSX Yosemite > Database Configure

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Broke on upgrade to OSX Yosemite:

1. PlasticSCM server not online.

2. Cannot configure 'Database Backend'

2.1. Clicking the 'Configure' button does nothing

Tried:

1. Reinstalling X11 to latest dev version

2. Delete previous plastic install, including user files

3. Reinstalling latest plastic

This is a great product, let me know if you need more info.

Mike

After some investigation, my solution:

1. Change to read/write permissions on PlasticSCM/server

2. Terminal > 'clconfigureserver'

2.1. Choose '1. NameWorkingMode'

3. Terminal > 'plasticsd' asserted it did not exist which is weird, so I

4. Reboot

5. Watching plastic.server.log, it moved from "ERROR Daemon - Plastic Server is not correctly configured. Execute "configurerloader" wizard to configure Server and launch the service again." to nominal activity.

Hello mikelee,

sorry for my delay answering.

I have several questions:

1) The configure backend button doesn't work for you? Even after changing the permissions for the server directory?

2) Plastic was working fine before the Yosemite upgrade?

Correct to both your assertions, above.

It's not working again, so are debugging now. Have installed the latest GUI looks promising..

Reinstalled with latest build and configured successfully. http://www.plasticscm.com/download/5.4.16.628/plasticscm/macosx/full

1. The configure page still asserts error and the 'Database Backend > Configure..' button still does not work.

2. When configuring the latest Cocoa GUI preferences, on clicking 'OK' it presents: 'Alert: An unexpected error has occurred', however the app works.

Hope that helps someone.

Yes, we are aware of that one. We'll fix it.

We'll review it!
