Hi,

I want to use the Plastic SCM Version 5.4.16.696 on Windows OS.

I am already using the Versions 5.4.6.511 and 4.1.10.500 parallel in that machine with out any problem.

I am using the Binary Files which can be downloaded from the Homepage.

So I created a third Folder whith the newer Version and set it up.

The Server is running properly in the Console mode, see attached File.

In MS SQL I can see that the new Version has created the Default repositories.

If I try to configure the Client on the same or on another machine, I get following error:

The specified server localhost:9187 is not a valid Plastic server.

See olso attached file.

I also tried to use only the newest Plastic SCM. The same error occured.

I hope you can help me.

Hello Malib,

from your error message "The specified server localhost:9187 is not a valid Plastic server." I can suspect that you are using a non compatible client to communicate with that certain server.

Using the command line (faster to debug this kind of issues), can you please run:

> cm version

> cm lrep localhost:9187

Please post here the results.

Hi,

I have downloaded following ZIP-files from your hompage:

  • PlasticSCM-5.4.16.696-linux-server-binaries.zip
  • PlasticSCM-5.4.16.696-linux-client-binaries.zip

https://www.plasticscm.com/download/5.4.16.696

I just see that there is a newer version 5.4.16.698 available.

I will try it in 1-2 weeks and I will give you feedback.

Thanks.
