transparent checkouts

hi there,

I like v4 for figuring out which files I have modified but how come the files get put in the workspace as read only? It's annoying when using Eclipse (without the plugin) or another IDE as it will prompt you first to change to write.

although the article is for V3, same settings applies, unless Manu have an update

Hi Hampsterx,

yes it's very annoying, so in the release BL238 the default working mode is NO read only.

If you want you can disable the read only working mode by your own.

Go to Preferences -> Other options -> Update and Checkin operations set files as read only. -> Disable it.
