Literacy Matters
I want to change my local encryption key and create a new repository and push files again. Where can I find the encryption key on the Mac or how do I change the encryption key?
calbzam
Hi, If you want to change the encryption key, you need to remove all your cloud repos first to start from scratch. If you just want to be requested to re-enter the encryption key again, you can remove the following files and restart the GUI:* Client: /Users/xxx/.plastic4/cryptedservers.conf * Server: /Applications/PlasticSCMServer.app/Contents/MonoBundle/cryptedservers.conf Regards, Carlos. iikkawake
And how does this work nowadays? I've deleted the cryptedservers.conf, the entire .plastic4 folder, reinstalled the app and deleted the entire .plastic4 folder, and the app is still complaining about my encryption key password being incorrect without asking me to input it again
Héber
Hi, The behavior should be same. Can you check that you have no cryptedservers.conf also under this folder: /Applications/PlasticSCM.app/Contents/MonoBundle/ Any config file that you place there will take precedence over the ones in the local config folder. Best, Héber.
